Window shopping with the folks

I have dated my folks to go window shopping yesterday.

Fun I will say. It's about catching up and exposing them to new things. But it's also about eating a lot :P

Talk about food, we went to these places... my folks are very happy with all!

1. Lunch East Ocean, Shaw Center
Not a new eating place but first time for us. Highly reommended by my friend whom have high food expectation - Ah Jing (never go wrong!)
Very nice tim sum.
No or minimum MSG - no thirsty feel after eating!

2. Coffee and Oreo CheeseCake for Teabreak at Blue Mountain Cafe, 313@Somerset
That place (previously) was where my folks complaint of birdsh*t during parking. Ha! My folks commented: "if we come here, we will be lost...!"
We were deciding between Ah Kun or Blue Mountain Cafe. Finally go for the 'ang mo' kopi.
Ordered Hazelnut coffee and Epthian Mocha coffee. Nice. The folks like the Hazelnut best.
The Orea CheeseCake came with delighting garnishing... my fave shape.. Heart. Plus point; not too sweet!

I took 5 shoots... all so blue.. dun know why...

3. Dinner at Ootoya, OC.
I always like OC. Long escalators, emptiness... not so good for retailers but good for shoppers like me. Hee! Folks like these features of the mall too.
My folks aren't young but always young at heart and like to have fun. I am proud of them as they are braver than some tourists whom are younger (pondering if they can take the long escalators)
My folks are very satisfied with the food at Ootoya. I think they missed Japan, like I did. They can remember the Japan, Ueno Ootoya that we went...haa...I guess because we waited super long for our food there and then :P
Best order: Hokkaido Kunbo sauce with Katsu Don - Rice is well fraganced with Kunbo sauce, Katsu Don well done!

If you are taking a day off, you might wanna try the above!

Cheers to good family times and food!

Entreprising spirit starts from young

New teaching in the chapter of growing up?

One client, whom is a strong supporter of blogs-shops told  me that she was surprised that the shop owners are same age as her daughter (abround 16-19 years old). She felt the relationship was amazing!

This become a connection with her daughter. She got her a domain name and blogspot.com... kinda got her a virtual shopfront. For merchanise, her daughter will have to do it herself. So is the marketing part. She also advocated the importance of owning business as a paper, no longer secure you a job.

i do not know if this is a norm, but I felt really nice when she told me about this. Different from other parents, she took a step further to teach her daughter to be self sufficient by running the business. No matter what comes out of it, the daughter will benefits much, and this becomes a bridge between them. I forsee that it will be a fun experience.

In this world where technology domains (to a certain extent), the so called generation gap, has been narrowed :)

Welcome New Decade 2010

Ant and myself usher into 2010 in our orange car.... how come? In a car jams to watch fireworks...hee!

This year, we hope that its a great one for us, moving onto our plan without much hassle as a family goal.

Natural healing is always on top of Skin Needs objective. Therefore, this new year, I have scheduled to launch more natural healing method and products :)

Slimming in a breeze:
In 1st Qtr of this year, debute my new slimming method (still thinking of the name)! I have been studying about this method for the past few months. And having a sample group of my clients and of course, myself trying out and twitting it to make it best effectively. What makes me more excited is in this seasons of feasting, I never put on weight! Yes! What's more to you wish for! Tempting right? Stay tune!

Take only organic, Use only organic:
Continue to be a strong believer of natural and organic, I will like to introduce Potpots organic skin care to more people and customers :)
Another thing I wish to do more often is blogging! Yes, apologise to all my clients. And yes, you gals can stop chasing me as I target to put up one article a week! Cheers!

Personal wise, continue to upgrade myself with more learning from new/existing network and friends :) And be more brave in taking up more challenges.

Here I 'dive' ~ splash ~

Give Thanks to 2009

I got wanted to post this up before new year.. but was too busy mingling with customers and gatherings.

Seriously do not want to repeat the same words such as "times fly" etc etc... as its already so true!
2009 was much described as a year full of ups and downs... both economy and nature.
2009 was also considered one of the most eventful year of my life.

Starting Potpots organic skin care business move me closer to the cyberworld. The world wide web (www), bloggers (blogging), html (dun know learn....) and internet maketing... The information was too overwhelm! Almost drowned..hahah... but fun la!
Brand building is definitely not an easy task, takes time and persistence. This makes me kowtao to the superbrands such as Sony, Nokia etc.
I am a grateful to my partner for her guidance. She is definitely a much more better business woman from me.
Skin Needs launched sport massage services in May. Glad that my clients find the sport massage useful and I am able to ease their tense muscles in all the Shape, Standard Charter Run. *proud*
I met many new clients (turn friends) in 2009. Thank you for sharing with me the happenings around you. I have learnt a lot from you.

I tried my hands on some other business too such as trading. A much simpler one. Maybe I should start this too?

Another person to give thanks to is Ant. He is the great supporter in all my business, coming from all aspects, morally and logistically. I am lucky to have him as around me, not many business person have supportive family members*Big Kiss*

Now I look back (with a smile), its not as bad la. All the endless learnings are great enrichment for life. Knowledge is something you gain and never get steal or vanish!

Thank you 2009!

A little effort in recycling for Xmas

In this season of giving, like many, I am also wrapping gifts for friends, family and clients.

As a strong supporter green movement, I am always busy looking for ways to reduce wastage through somehow, or some ways. *Proud*

This year, I chose to recycle the Hershey's chocolates colourful packaging! This is what I did.
1. Cut the chocolate packaging to size
2. Tape up to form a little bags
3. Put in the chocolates and lollipops
4. Close and Tight up with golden ribbon

And you have it! Nice, colourful gift packs with least wastage. My friends love them due to the unique packaging... like no other!

Save the earth while you can with a little creative thoughts :)

Window shopping in OC and ION

Spend a day window shopping in orchard is rather a luxury experience. There is so much to see... ooops... sounded like an advert :P

I like OC better. The building structure is very unique. The shops makes me feel like as if I am in Shinjuku, Japan. In particularly of one of the level, where the walls are made of recycled machinery etc. Its like the Lumina Departmental stores in Shinjuku station.

Look at the space! The feel of emptiness in a shopping complex is great!
Best part is we have Ootayo (Japanese resturant) there... oh... my fave japanese food chain in Japan is here. Happy!

Its so difficult to find a good short get away place....

Its been half a year since we go for a good holiday. 想想。。。last year this time, we were at Nagano, enjoying the great autumn temperature and red, yellow golden leaves... oh... how I miss the place...

Yes, this time we want to go for short trip... but end up, cannot decide where to go. Bintan, Sabah, Hong Kong etc are all in our 'want' list. Quite a big selection. I think its the cost does not justify for the 4 or 5 days vocation. We deem it 'bo hua' (hokkian). After talking to a few clients, they too, have the same feel... even commented going short trip nowadays is expensive.

So in the end, we decided to take vocation in Singapore instead. After doing our calculation, it will definitely only cost us less than S$300 for a good deals!

And the advantage roam in Singapore beginnings...from orchard...!

Different country, Different culture. It's True!

Duck - Dog talk? Ya, if you never communicate to the people of that particular country, it can be frustrating!

In the process of setting up Potpots.com, I learn that communication is really an ART!
Internet and boardband are greatest tool on earth, as far as, speedy commuication is concerned. We got in contact with different people around the world to help us in setting up this business.

Yes, people from these places are really friendly. I can feel it. But the speed of work is hintered by the words and language we used. It takes time to understand them and then work in their styles. So I did a lot of cut and paste picture, writing really short sentense, speaking in broken English... Ironically, Potpots is the boss (paying) and yet, we have to drive in vendor's direction...
Well, really not much of a choice when you want to finish things faster. We call that "begin with the end in Mind" :)

Oh no no.. I am not complainting. That's not my style :P What I really want to remember here is people are positive and helpful by nature. Challenges might make our turn away. Perhaps we should put the other party before us, read it from another prospectives! This may turn challenges into solutions. Do not be afraid of being the one of less advantage, as long as you can reach your objectives.

Cheers! Skillful management of relationship speed up work.

1st time at Fitness@Work

Yesterday was my first time at this Fitness@Work program. Its a program to bring sports nearer to heartlanders, and of course, to encourage more people to move their body!
Actually it has been conducting for more than a year in AMK... and I did not have a chance to go till yesterday :p

The program is very well done and fun! We do body combat in the first half and 2nd half, hi-low aerobics. I strongly encourage everyone to go!
It has been a long time I do this kind of class. Hmmm... I am still ok, except for some mistake here and there. Luckily I am still able to understand the ques, listen to the tempo of the music and do my action in proper. Those that I learnt years ago in aerobics instructor class has come back to me :)

Sad to hear from those regulars that classes finishing soon on the 29th June. Not enough people. They aimed for 100people, then the class will continue here in AMK central, but less than that turn up. This means that people are not exercising still!

By the way, new standard from MOH:
Exercise more than 30minutes for at least 5 days a week.

The reason for this is, we are eating too much, and the food we eat have too much seasoning! Therefore, once eaten, needs to exhaust. If not, you will get unhealthy in a long term!

I seriously hope that more people can achieve that standard.... though I know its not easy task.

Jia you! Ganbate!

I went to watch Aaron Kwok Concert!

Mad rush...

。。Times fly。。。

Its really worth scarifying our dinner for this concert! Cheers!

Thanks to all that have started using and felt the goodness :) Please drop me notes there!

That's why not much update on my blog recently as very busy doing all the neccessary ground work. Nothing is simple but I know in the end, I will get there!

Run, Run, Run...

Its a brand new world in Sports and Massage

Finally finishes my sport massage course with Singapore Sports Council. Knew a brand new group of friends whom are very sports orientated.. some are from the Singapore Team and some even take part in Iron Man events before! Amazing!!

I have learnt alot from them and most importantly, learn a lot from the course.
All the joints, tension, muscle groups... I have known how to tag them on better and provide a speedy recovery for sportsmen and help release tension for those whom needs them.

Now I have regular attachments to sports events whenever SSC needs people. Its fun and I am proud that I can be a giver :)

Oh... massage by the sea of East Coast Park. Actually not bad, you go join the event and get free massage from me and my classmates. Event: Safra Bilarathon (swim and run)

I look forward to more events of such :)

Nature never fail to 'WOW' me....

Recent encounters of many natural phenomenon in Singapore and overseas makes me want to preserve it more :)

Love is in the air - 2009! Valentine's Day

While we are all preparing for Mr Ox coming into a bull run year, it seems that Valentine's Day is also just around the corner :)

This year, shower love and concern during Valentine's Day to your love ones becomes more important any others. WHY? There are too many 'hard' concerns on the economy and jobs etc... Stress level is pretty high in most people but most do not show.... In times like this, nothing compare getting from your love ones words of morale support and love. And I believe this is the only way to 'melt' those stress away.

I will be continuing my Valentine's Day bouquet gift pack this year.
Limited to 50 sets for the eve and Valentine's day delivery and collection.
What is so special? Other than the roses (which cannot be shelved aside during V day), I have imported from US a limited edition spa set consisting a nice smelling Fruity GrapeSeed scrub and a Moisture Souffle.
Plus if you are looking into surprise delivery at the hard to reach area at specific timming, I will be able to assist.

Have been very busy doing R & D with my new freshly made mask which are going to be commercialised soon. Truely made in Singapore for those whom have stay in Singapore like weather for the longest time :)

Its a wonderful pcs of mask that will help many in one way or another ( I strongly believe ). With no preservatives, all natural good ingredients, this is one good way to natural skin healing :)

I am super excited with the great feedback from most of my clients, and so glad that I can made myself helpful.

I used to walk.. now I have to run or rather will be running for this project.

Cheers to natural healing!

Too many events for the few months

wow wow wow... too much of events happening around in Singapore and overseas for me...I am like slowing down in writing.

What happened?

Have to backdate to E/Sept...

Singapore ever 1st F1 race.

Got a free tix to sit near the bend at the floating stage. It was really a very fantastic experience. It was one of the most beautiful night in Singapore. With millions of eyes on this small little island of ours... I am indeed PROUD!!
We were moving around the Esplande. In fact, this was the very first time I spend so much time around there... beautiful!

This is where I sit.. good view, but super noisy! This is where I learn the true meaning of NOISY, NOISE POLLUTION etc. No joke! Sitting there for 45 minutes, with the loud speaker (commentary) and speedy cars zooming off... its the most noisy minutes of my life!

Nevertheless, we had good times! Most importantly, many whom came feels that its better than those with proper race track. After all, they can hang around, get their beers and food and enjoy the night scenery.

I will be there next year, with my family, for sure! But a walkaround tix is good enough to bring joy, plus gives you flexibility to walk around and enjoy the race from different angles! And, escape from the noise at times.

Then .... B/Oct....

HK friends' visit!
Its been years since I see Alan and Windy!
Of course, we have to play good host. In fact, I am a bit stress...hee...ya, home ground supposed to be able to plan better. I realised many places in Singapore I have not really explore for a long time.
We went Night Safrai. It was a rainy night in the rain forest. Still we are able to see many animals active.... consider quite lucky! Oh, over there, we try DR FISH... Good experience! Its the first time for all of us :D

Alan requested for Sentosa. Hee.. I am more than happy to bring them there of course!!! Ant is another happy person to hear that as there are many attractions, he had never been (oops are we singaporean :P) Before that, we bring them for 'lor mee' at Amoy St Market. Fantastic choice as Hong Kong do not have that!

Hmm... after their visit, I think I need to brush up my knowledge on Singapore.. the place I called my home :D

Still events... Mid Oct...

Japan Autumn Trip!
Beautiful... Ki - lei... Sibarashi!!!...
This time is to Matsumoto. Leaves can be so beautiful too.. colours are so rich!

Very fun and cool weather!

Looking forward to the season of giving in Dec.
Xmas buzz....

Cheers to Xmas :D

Take a little time to appreciate nature

In other places where we called island, we always exclaimed on beautiful sunset, sun rise, clouds and blue sky... We have it all in our island, Spore :)

I got some nice photos when I look up and out from my place ... ... arrrgh... :D

No matter how busy you are, do take time break and appreciate nature......
